July 3rd-4th, 2009
For the past six years, The Cactus Cuties have performed at Lubbock’s 4th of July celebration, “4th on Broadway,” but this year the Cuties were invited to perform with the Houston Symphony Orchestra for their Star Spangled Salute!! The Cuties arrived in Houston on the morning of Friday, July 3rd and headed straight to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for sound-check and rehearsal with the Houston Symphony. Upon arrival to the venue, the Cuties got settled in their dressing room and were then escorted to the stage to meet the Principal Pops Conductor, Mr. Michael Krajewski. Rehearsal was so much fun!!! The Cactus Cuties had never performed with an orchestra before, and they loved singing with such powerful music! By showtime, the Cuties were excited and anxious to take the stage. Thousands of people were packed into the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion to see the special holiday show. The Cuties performed The National Anthem, The Battle Hymn of the Republic, The Rockin’ It Old School Medley, and Children of America. At the close of the Cuties’ performance, the people rose to their feet giving them a massive standing ovation!!! After the show, the Cuties watched the fireworks together and then headed to the hotel to rest before their second show. The Cuties slept in on Saturday, July 4th and spent the day relaxing before the Star Spangled Salute at the Miller Outdoor Theater in Hermann Park. The Cuties were escorted to the theater that evening and had another great performance. Although the Cuties missed their families in Lubbock on Independence Day, they truly loved performing in the Star Spangled Salute concerts. Mr. Michael Krajewski and the Houston Symphony Orchestra were absolutely fabulous and the Cuties were so honored to spend their 4th of July weekend performing with such talent!!!!! The Cactus Cuties hope to perform with them again someday!!!!

Hey Cuties, fantastic job again. You really blew those crowds away! I talked to a couple people that were there, who weren’t Cutie fans. But they are now! Think you made a bunch of new fans over those two days. Like most new crowds that haven’t seen you girls before, they were totally shocked that these four beautiful young girls could sing like you do. EVERYONE who sees you is always so amazed at your talent, your beauty and your charm. You always make your fans proud!!! We can always brag about knowing you and being hard core fans. Thank you girls for giving us such joy and for taking the time to honor our country over the 4th. Bless you in all your efforts. Quentin

Wow what a cool gig singing for the Houston Symphony Orchestra! What an honor to sing with them! Congratulations to the Cuties for getting to do that! Definitely another feather for your cap! More great pictures here as the Cuties are always stunning! You are all so greatly talented as well!

Cool Cuties!!! What an honor and thrill that must have been singing with the Houston Symphony Orchestra!! Sounds like you wowed another huge crowd with your wonderful music!!! Thank you once again for sharing another amazing adventure!!!

So great to perform with such a noted orchestra, you probably made hundreds of fans from a really different audience type! I know you gave your sponsors all they could hope for and a little more. You looked like you were having a really fun time with the performance and that should always be the case. Thanks for sharing!

you guys were fantastic! i don’t kow if yall’ remeber me but i went the night you profomed at the miller outdoor theater and i got my picture with you. you all blew the croud away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love all of you guys! Your all so pretty and talented! My favorite 3 songs are: Defying Gravity, Star Spangled Banner, Follow Me.
